I am rapidly closing in on 60 and I crave to get more out of life. I lost my left arm in a motorcycle accident in 2000 and I thought it was the end of the world. I was angry and suicidal and was prescribed some very heavy drugs for about 10 years. When a spinal cord surgery temporarily relieved me of all that pain, I decided that my life wasn't over and I started jumping in and living it again! I studying flying and got trained as a pilot. I learned to play the bass guitar one handed and jam at least one per week with friends. I'm rebuilding a 1973 VW Karmann Ghia engine and doing the body and suspension work to prep it for off road adventures. I'm building a 2-seat airplane in my garage. I'm building a cheap Chinese motorcycle from a semi-kit. I camp, hike, woodwork, weld, sew, cook, mechanic, fish, and anything else that scrambles into my head that might be fun or useful. My philosophy is to be the eternal student - always learning. The more I know, the more things I can do. The more things I can do, the more satisfying of a life I can live. One last thing: NONE of this would be possible without the grace of Jesus. He's the only reason I'm here.
